an unexpected answer about men and patriarchy

Two days ago, I took a walk to a cinema with my partner and we had some deep conversations about politics and norms in the middle of walking. Then, I suddenly burst my random thought inside my head about men and patriarchy.

“I feel sorry about women in this patriarchy culture. Yet, I also sad seeing men being so worthless in this world, especially when it comes to war, or tragedies. Not only that, but a simple thing like men can’t sit on the bus because they have to give their chair to women or elderly people. I often think that everything should be treated equally, even though I’m a woman, and I agree with women empowerment.”

“Then?”

“What’s your opinion as a man about this thing?”

“It’s completely okay, though.”

“..Why?”

“Men often hurt people more than women, without realizing it. Not only hurt them, but they often make something ridiculous or even destroy the whole nation or world. We are all destroyer by default. So that’s it, we are bastards after all. We’ll accept it as our punishment.”

I can’t even say a thing after he answer it blatantly.
